Vineyard information

Grape variety: 100% Merlot
Soil profile: clay-based soils
Vineyard area: hill area of Colli Orientali del Friuli, Isonzo, and Grave DOC zones.

Vinification process

Maceration:  lengthy maceration on the skins to extract aromas and colour, followed by fermentation at 20°C
Maturation: in steel 
Release:
bottling and release in late winter
Alcohol 12.5%

Wine description

Appearance: deep ruby
Bouquet: generous, showing fragrances of wild berry fruit.
Palate: very ample and smooth, medium structured, with judicious tannins and measured acidity.

Serving suggestions

Grills, stews, and roasts of poultry, beef, and game, as well as medium-aged cheeses. 

Serve at 18°C.
